News in Fashion.

Being that UC has decided to devote this month to celebs, we have decided to keep any other posts to a minimum so I’m about to give you a lot in this little post so please READ, don’t just look at pictures.

First, we have info on an upcoming movie about Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel.

coco

The first biopic about the legendary French fashion designer, Coco Chanel, starring, Audrey Tautou, has finally released. The movie focuses on Chanel’s childhood and early womanhood, before she became famous. It showcases the events and people that shaped her, and will premiere in the US on September 25. Check it out.

Is it just me, or does September need to hurry here??

Remaining in the theme of Chanel, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot for Lily Allen’s Fall 2009 ad campaign for the new handbag line, Chanel Coco Cocoon. It seems as though Allen is very happy to be a part of this launch. Check her out with Creative Director, Karl Lagerfield.

YAY Project Runway!!!

project

As you all should know, by faithfully reading UC, Project Runway has switched networks and will now be aired on Lifetime. Well the official premiere date has been established and the contestants revealed. The show is set to air, Thursday, August 20 at 10 p.m. so be sure to tune in. Looks like there are a few blacks this season so maybe they’ll finally take one. Let’s just say Bravo is really suffering with the lost of this show, because The Fashion Show is a sorry knock off in my opinion. Check out the contestants and be sure to watch come August.

Hollywood Glam: New Meets Old

As I stated not too long ago, UC proclaims July Celebrity Fashion Month, and this week we are big on Hollywood glam. From simply chic movie stars to cutting edge rock stars, here are some of the most “glammed” out stars of our time and beyond.

ah

First up, there is the beautifully simplistic Audrey Hepburn. Best known for her role in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” Hepburn is probably one of the most iconic members of the “Hollywood Glam Dolls.” She’s done everything from the little black dress to a nice pair of slacks and an easy-going blouse. No one will ever TRULY be the next Audrey Hepburn…

But if I had to choose any one woman that I feel, today, reflects her image, it would be the amazingly stylish…

Kate Beckinsale!!! In contrary to Audrey she usually plays more empowering characters, but her style and demeanor are still very classic and soft, and I feel as though she captures a modern day style that follows Ms. Hepburn. Check her out.

There is much more to come throughout the week, so stay tuned.
