So if you don’t already know, UC writer, and my friend, JoeCouture we’ll be interning for DC’s Fashion Week this year. So, CONGRATULATIONS sir. But I am here to let you know that there are a couple of other internships that you may be interested in, as provided by Fashionista.
First, Isaac Mizrahi, judge of Bravo’s The Fashion Show, along with Liz Claiborne, is looking for a few interns to help get ready for fashion week, with photoshoots, reading through blogs and magazines, running errands and any other typical interning duties.
Are you interested? Well e-mail resumes (and cover letters, which should go without saying at this point) to lcimintern@gmail.com. I assume the position will be out of New York so, if you stay in the area or can get there for a while, go for it.
Also, Peter Som is looking for a couple of interns. He, or his staff rather, would like you to start immediately in preparation for Fashion Week and continue throughout the fall semester. They’re specifically seeking responsible, proactive and hard working students with an interest in fashion and in learning how the industry works. They’ll need you three days a week for things like making and updating press kits, sample trafficking, wholesale and merchandising projects and of course general administrative tasks.
If interested, you must have knowledge of both Microsoft Word and Excel. E-mail your resume and a very concise cover letter to info@petersom.com. Hopefully you’ll take the cake!
